AMD Phenom II vs. Intel Core Processors

Intel - can anyone beat the name?? Over the past few years it's been ruling over all CPU brands. But not so long it started getting threats from a so far less competitive opponent AMD after the mega release of their
Phenom II and Athlon II series. It made itself a far greater opponent to the Intel core series as it gives better performance in less price.

As you know people always rush for getting more by spending less AMD looks after the peoples choice. Now lets see whether the price is really a fact or the performance also tells something.

AMD is one of the companies which always brings us the latest and greatest with its tweaks. The AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition was released in December of last year. AMD has done some more tweaking by releasing this one and produced the fastest processor in six core line up. The 1100T has clocked at 3.3 GHz stock with a turbo core speed of 3.7 GHz. It also carries the similar specs like 1090T - 6 MB L3 cache, AM3 socket support and ability to pair with a motherboard using DDR2 or DDR3 memory.

But Intel didn't gain all its fame by no means! Intel Core i7 still tops in performance all over AMD. Its mega release of Intel Core i7 -2860 QM processor has overpowered all the products in the market. It comprises 4 cores with 2.5 GHz clock-speed with a maximum turbo frequency of 3.6 GHz.
If price doesn't matter to you then go for i7 2600k or i5 2500k. These two are better for gaming than X6 for sure. But when budget talks out then you should go for X6 for a better performance in low price what AMD will surely provide you.

Here's the price list of Intel processors- Intel processor price list

You can check the performance in here -

But for a very low budget and good performance you must go for AMD. The Phenom II X4 series is far better than Intel's core i3 or quad core series. And its price is also reasonable enough than Intel. Though core i3 has two virtual cores working beside its two main functional cores but the two virtual cores never work like two main functional cores. So X4 having four functional cores with less price is a way better.

You can also have a clear idea by watching this comparison between Core i3 2100 and Phenom II X4. Don't get fooled while watching the stat. In some case of the stat higher specifies better and in some case lower specifies better. So watch carefully and decide wisely.
