MSI's New Gaming Laptop GT60 & GT70 Revealed

Taiwan-based electronics company MSI has just revealed their two new gaming notebooks, namely the GT60 and the GT70. Both the two new notebooks are offering an amazing set of specifications.


Special Features of MSI GT60 and MSI GT70 -
Both the devices are made with Intel’s new Ivy Bridge 2.3 GHz Core i7-3610QM and the GeForce GTX 670M GPU from NVIDIA. They are equipped with SteelSeries backlit keyboards, Killer Game Networking Wi-Fi radios, two Dynaudio speakers and a subwoofer with THX Surround Sound.

The slightly smaller GT60 offers a 15.6-inch body with a 1080p screen resolution. It also has a 500 GB storage capacity. On the other hand,the 17.3-inch GT70 has a 1920×1080 matte 1080p screen display resolution. The current base model has a 12 GB RAM on it which can be expanded upto 16GB RAM. The GT70 has three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4 and an amplified audio jack, Bluetooth, a 7-in-1 media reader, an E-SATA port and a 720p webcam.

The GT70 has a lot of options in terms of storage capacity. There is an option to get two 64 GB SSDs together with a 750 GB 7,200 RPM hard drive. The GT70 weighs 8.6 pounds while the 15.6-inch GT60 is around 7.7 pounds. Both gaming notebooks are starting at the $1,500 price range which can go up as much as $2,500.

Intel's Cove Point Ultra Book running Windows 8 OS will cost $1000

Intel is going to release ultrabook hybrid tablet+notebook to make you forget about the traditional notebooks or tablets available in the market. Their new Cove Point ultrabook can server both as a tablet or a notebook PC.

In the Intel Developer Forum held in Beijing last week Intel showed their new notebook-tablet hybrid known as Cove Point ultrabook. It has an upper multi-touch display to use it as a tablet when it is closed and also a keyboard to use the Cove Point as a notebook.

The Director of Marketing in the PC Client Solution Division, Gary Richman declared that it has evolved over time with different form factors under consideration. Intel's Cove Point ultrabook is somewhat similar to the ASUS Transformer Prime. You can call it a hybrid tablet which is for those who can not decide whether to buy a tablet or a notebook.

The keyboard usually stays behind the back of the display when the device stays in closed condition and makes it look like a perfect tablet. You can simply push the screen to pop up the hidden fully functional keyboard and using a stand provided with the ultrabook you can start using it as a usual notebook..Cove Point supports additional folding methods to enable its users to watch movie or do any other things at ease.

The most dazzling thing is that Intel's Cove Point is not some tablet with keyboard like the Transformer Prime but it works as a fully functional PC. It will run the upcoming Windows 8 OS on Intel's yet to be released Ivy Bridge CPU. Cove Point will also come up with 12.5 inch multi touch display, 2 USB 3.0 ports along with an HDMI port.

Intel's Cove Point ultrabook is going to cost about $1000. It will surely produce a large effect on the tablet market in China. Toshiba Introducing Gaming Laptop Qosmio X875 with Ivy Bridge

Toshiba has just introduced their latest gaming laptop Qosmio X875. It is the upgraded version of X775. In this new version you will find everything better with improved performance and lighter than its previous version. And in style its a lot better looking than the previous version.

This laptop is styled with Toshiba's proprietary Black widow. The device is dressed in a diamond textured aluminum body where a Qosmio logo is glowing with red LED on the cover. This new version is 25% thinner than the X775.

Toshiba has made two version of Qosmio X875 named as the Qosmio X875 non 3D and the Qosmio X875 3D version.
