Samsung finally unveiled Galaxy S III smartphone

Samsung has finally unveiled their most rumored and expected Galaxy S III smartphone on Thursday in london after months of speculation.It is equipped with great touchscreen and very speedy quad-core processor. It’s also declared as the official smartphone of the 2012 Olympic Games as rumored.

There are more interesting and new features in Samsung Galaxy S III. "Direct Call" feature enables you to make a phone call automatically whom you’re text messaging. Another feature called S Voice, makes you able to use your voice to do a phone call, search the web and start the camera. The Samsung Galaxy S III is also powered by Pop Up Play feature that gives you the scope to switch the full-screen video to a smaller pop-up window so that you can continue watching the movie while texting, browsing or using other apps. Facial recognition technology feature offering you to identify people in photos and links to your friends pages on Twitter and Facebook automatically.

The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which is skinned in TouchWiz user interface. The aesthetic touches and the curved plastic body of the smartphone are “inspired by nature",Samsung says. Currently the company is marketing the smartphone in two colors “Pebble Blue” and “Marble White". The Galaxy S III is equipped with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display having 1280×720 resolution. The device is also powered by a very fast 1.4GHz quad-core processor. You can have a great photo session with its 8MP rear camera with an LED flash and a web conversation with 1.9MP front-facing camera. The phone has a great 2100mAh removable battery.

The price of the device is still undeclared.  But the Samsung officials confirmed the 3G version of the Galaxy S III will be available in Europe within May and later across Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Samsung confirms the S III will run on 4G LTE networks in U.S. and for that all U.S. citizens have to wait till later this summer.

Apple's anticipated TV "iPanel" going to launch this year

Recent news revealed that Apple's new television set may be called as iPanel. It is expected to be released near the end of this year. Jefferies analyst Peter Misek declared about his confidence in the release of iPanel at the fourth quarter of this year.

Misek also preferred the name of the television as iPanel rather than iTV. Why not iTV? after asking this question he said that iTV doesn't match with this device with multiple functionality as it is far more than a TV. It's a display, gaming center, computer, media hub and home automator in addition to other facilities. This justifies the name "iPanel" a little more.

iTV is also the short form of a British TV channel named Independent Television. It is a very popular TV channel, so Apple doesn't want to get mixed up with this name.

A rumor was spread about Apple's release of a new television set for over a year. Previously it was called as Apple TV as the name was not chosen at that time. Recently after a lot of discussion among the specialists Apple decided to name their new television set as iPanel.

 The average price of iPanel is supposed as $1,250 with 30 percent gross margins. It is expected that Apple will start the production of iPanel commercially from May or June. 2-5 million television sets are going to be built in time to launch the product at the end of this year.
